Mrs.  Susan Murray

Susan Murray is the founder of SAMCI, a national government relations firm headquartered in Toronto in 1982. She is acknowledged by elected officials, public servants and business leaders as one of the country's leading government relations professionals. Ms. Murray is an Honorary Director of the National Ballet School of Canada and a former Chairman of the Board; a former member of the Board of Directors of the MS Scientific Research Foundation and Member of the Campaign Cabinet, endMS Capital Campaign; and is a current director of the Shannon School of Business National Advisory Board, Cape Breton University. Former pubic company boards have included Dover Industries Ltd, Dylex Ltd and Irwin Toy Inc.

In 1990, she completed the Senior Officers Professional Development Course at the National Defence College in Kingston, the first civilian invited to attend. In 2002, Ms. Murray was awarded the Queen's Jubilee Medal for Volunteerism by the Governor General for her work with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
